Student Experience
Over the course of your 4 week rotation, you will work 13 clinical shifts at both WPAFB and Miami Valley Hospital, evaluating undifferentiated patients as part of the team. The focus should be on efficiently gathering a pertinent history, executing a pointed and accurate exam, forming a relevant differential, and developing a plan of care. Staying up to date on your patients condition and results is essential and as the rotation progresses, balancing multiple patients at once.
Working in the ER
Feedback
You will get in the moment feedback from residents and attendings you work with to improve your practice. In addition, daily shift evaluations will be collected using a QR code to help provide constructive instruction for your midpoint and end of rotation formal feedback sessions, school evaluations, and SLOEs.
